PRESS RELEASE:
4th ANNUAL TEAM JACK RADIOTHON PRESENTED BY THE HOME AGENCY TO BE HELD AT UNIVERSITY OF NEBRASKA-LINCOLN ON SEPTEMBER 15th
Radio stations invite listeners to tune in to fund research for pediatric brain cancer
Radio partners KLIN of Lincoln and over 22 radio stations across the state and into South Dakota are encouraging listeners to tune in on September 15 from 7 AM to 6 PM (CST) for the 4th Annual Team Jack Foundation Radiothon Presented by The Home Agency live from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln Student Union Plaza. The Radiothon raises money for the Team Jack Foundation whose primary mission is to raise funds for pediatric brain cancer research.
This year, the radiothon will be presented by a local Nebraska business, The Home Agency, based in Elwood, Nebraska.
“We are honored and excited to be the presenting sponsor of this event for the Team Jack Foundation. This is a cause that is close to our family’s hearts and funding research for this disease is vital for our children’s future. These kids need our help,” said Jim Baldonado, Owner of The Home Agency.
Among this year’s program highlights, are scheduled celebrity interviews with Cincinnati Bengal, Rex Burkhead, Houston Texan, Devon Still, World Series Champion, Alex Gordon and many more to be announced. In addition, several families from the Midwest as well as nationally who have been impacted by pediatric brain cancer will share their journey and experiences with listeners, including Jeffrey Owen Hanson, a nationally renowned and award-winning artist from Overland Park, Kansas. Jeff’s painting sold at the Annual Team Jack Foundation Gala this past year, raising over $50,000 for the Foundation. Jeff is visually impaired from an optic nerve tumor associated with a genetic condition called neurofibromatosis. The tumor caused severe vision loss in 2005, requiring chemotherapy and radiation.
Listeners are asked to help our children by becoming a Champion for a Cure for just $15 a month by calling 1-855-RUN-JACK or by visiting www.teamjackfoundation.org/4th-annual-team-jack-foundation-radiothon.
